Alexander Sliwinski from Joystiq has a pretty in-depth preview of Duke Nukem Forever. Despite being a devotee of not only Duke Nukem 3D but also the [original](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_(video_game) games, I am somewhat lukewarm on the biggest piece of vaporware in history finally coming to fruition. From the sounds of the preview, it sounds like the game will indeed be a sort of mix of a true to form sequel of the original, as well as being somewhat updated to mesh with what games are nowadays. I suspect the game will sell pretty well, mostly due to it’s legend, but I suspect that most people will leave disappointed.
