The Great Alan Sepinwall has the news that season 2 of HBO’s Treme will premiere on April 24th. Treme is about musicians in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans. The first season took place about 6 months after the storm. I was in the minority of people I knew who liked it.

I especially love the cast. Rob Brown (Finding Forrester and The Express), Khandi Alexander (ER, Newsradio), Kim Dickens (Saracen’s mom from Friday Night Lights), Steve Zahn (That Thing You Do, You’ve Got Mail), Wendell Piece (The Wire and other things) and Lucia Micarelli (who literally hasn’t been in anything else, but she is a real musician who has played with Josh Groban and Jethro Tull…and is really cute).
