Adam Dachis of Lifehacker joins the seemingly growing list of people who are thinking that notifications are more annoying than useful:
I recently disabled push on my iPhone because I was curious if it mattered to me and I realized it doesn’t at all. Why do I need to have everything the instant it happens?
I have seen other people execute this same move recently. I find it amusing. People try it to see if they can “survive” without notifications like this is some big sacrifice. Of course you can “survive” without them. You could survive without a lot of things but that doesn’t mean you are some sort of ninja. I like notifications because of the notifying. It’s a nicety.
