Laura June from Engadget has the news of a report about GPS devices:
Well, this can’t be good, but it’s certainly not surprising, either. Researchers have concluded that people living in developed nations have become overly reliant on satellite navigation such as GPS devices, and that the results can be… dangerous.
As June continues, this is not a surprise. I myself am guilty of often of this phenomenon. I never really get worried about where I am or how I got there because of the security blanket of my phone or GPS. In the same way that a lot of people don’t know phone numbers anymore1, people don’t know how to read maps or pay attention to how to get to and from places.
