It’s official: James Spader has joined the cast of NBC’s ‘The Office.’ However, the ‘Boston Legal’ veteran won’t be the new Scranton branch manager of Dunder Mifflin — he’ll be the CEO of Sabre.

I guess that’s OK. Is that the role Kathy Bates has been playing? I don’t watch the show that regularly. I am glad he isn’t the new branch manager because I am not a big Spader fan and his character is a little crazy.
