Sox Fans: Stop Worrying About the Cubs

JJ Stankevitz of Beer Leaguer with the logic behind why he no longer hates the Cubs, despite being a Sox fan:

I’m totally cool with wanting to beat the snot out of the Cubs. But, at the end of the day, feeling satisfied with four out of six wins from the North Siders is mindless.

I tend to agree with Stankevitz. After the White Sox won the World Series in 2005 I completely stopped caring about beating the Cubs. That was the revelation that those 6 games don’t mean anymore than the other 162 games. The idea of bragging rights doesn’t carry much weight anymore either, and I’d rather go 0-6 against the Cubs than not make the playoffs.
