Chicago rock band Plain White T’s got famous and won a Grammy for their song, Hey Their Delilah. Luis Gomez of the Chicago Tribune has the story behind the song and Delilah:

As promised, [Plain White T's singer Tom] Higgenson, who had just broken up with his girlfriend, invited [Delilah] DiCrescenzo, who had just broken up with her boyfriend, to be his date to the Grammys in 2008.
