Andy Ihnatko of the Chicago Sun-Times and MacBreak Weekly wrote a great piece on the Windows 8 demo. I opted not to quote him here because I didn’t want to pick sides. He covered both the positives and negatives of the presentation. He talked about the serious promise that exists, but emphasizes that all we have seen is a demo of a product that is still a year out. He talked about how Microsoft wasn’t willing to fully commit to the Metro interface, but also alluded to the fact that it might not be a bad thing. Definitely a nice interpretation of the event.
