More iPad instead of computer chat, this time from MG Siegler of TechCrunch:
Computing is changing. That’s just about the most obvious statement ever. We’ve been seeing this for years with the rise of the smartphones. But traditional computing is changing as well. As in, people are abandoning PCs for these newer devices. And this will keep happening.
I have been banging this drum for a while. I don’t see why people like my mom and dad need anything but an iPad. Sure keep a computer around for “just in case” scenarios, but 98% of what they do, they don’t need a full-fledged computer for. Whenever Flash is made obsolete, I think that will be the tipping point.
