Lex Friedman of Macworld on switching from Safari to Chrome:
Despite my numerous complaints about Safari, I was hesitant to abandon it. I’ve used Safari for years. It’s comfortable, I have a few extensions that I’m partial to, and change is hard. And, as I mentioned, I’d previously found seven reasons that I couldn’t turn to Chrome.
This has always described me, but like Friedman I have grown tired of Safari 5.1’s odd, inefficient behavior. I haven’t heard if the release of OS X 10.7.2 has improved the performance at all. I haven’t noticed if it has.
I am at least considering my own switch to Chrome these days, but the workflow I have in Safari is such a big part of how I get things done, I just haven’t decided yet.
