Lenovo released an updated version of their Multimedia Remote with keyboard. This is a little triangular shaped device that is basically a media center mouse and keyboard in a small, usable package. The new version has a few updates compared to the model I have.

First and foremost is the addition of a backlit keyboard. This is very welcome since the model I have is pretty much impossible to use in the dark. They also replaced the trackball with a little optical pad (kind of like a trackpad I guess) which may or may not be an improvement.

When I picked up the previous model a couple of years ago it was around $36. This appears to be selling for around $50 so far. Still, it’s a nice device.
