A new weekly feature where college and pro football meet, the NFL draft. 10 of last 11 teams who got the first overall pick have finished with 2 or fewer wins. There is no reason to think this year will be any different.
These teams got their third win this past week:
- Detroit Lions
- Indianapolis Colts
- Tennessee Titans
- Chicago Bears
- Denver Broncos
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Miami Dolphins
- New England Patriots
- New Orleans Saints
- Seattle Seahawks
Somethings Gotta Give
These games feature two teams with exactly two wins right now:
Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills – The Bengals were such a trendy pick in preseason that it doesn’t seem like things should have gotten to this point, but they should pull this one off.
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco – Another team that no one thought would be sitting at 2–2, San Francisco looks on the upswing and should have no issues with the Cardinals at home.
22 Teams are still alive, with two of the four teams from the previous section guaranteeing this number drops by at least two this week.
The Front Runner
The state of Florida continues to dominate. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are both 0–4. The only other winless teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, were both picked by some to make the playoffs, making it very likely they both win at least 4 games before the season is over.
